Meet the Doctor

Dr. Marian Masoud, O.D.

Optometrist, Eyeland Eyecare

Dr. Marian Masoud is a dedicated optometrist at Eyeland Eyecare. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and went on to complete her residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital, specializing in ocular disease and glaucoma.

Dr. Masoud’s passion for eye care stems from her own experiences with vision correction. As a child, she was nearsighted and initially hesitant about contact lenses. However, a caring optometrist and staff took the time to guide her through the process, inspiring her to pursue a career where she could provide that same level of patience and support to her own patients. She strongly believes that eye health is a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of general well-being and is passionate about educating her patients on the importance of vision care.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Masoud is committed to giving back. She volunteers with OneSight and has participated in a mission trip to Bolivia, where she provided comprehensive eye exams to underserved communities. She is also an active member of the California Optometric Association (COA), the American Optometric Association (AOA), and the Asian American Optometric Society. Additionally, she enjoys educating her colleagues on advancements in contact lenses and emerging technologies in eye care.

One of the most defining moments in Dr. Masoud’s career was when she detected signs of a stroke and diabetes in a patient and referred them to the emergency room. Weeks later, the patient’s daughter returned to express her gratitude, sharing that her father’s life and vision were saved due to Dr. Masoud’s timely diagnosis. Moments like these reinforce her passion for patient care and the impact she has on the lives of her patients and their families.

Outside of work, Dr. Masoud loves traveling, hiking, reading, and exploring new cuisines. She cherishes time spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
